Agriculture Communicators of FL Foundation
The Agriculture Communicators of FL, Inc. Foundation, the charitable arm of the Agriculture Communicators of FL, Inc., is dedicated to promoting the value of Florida agriculture, educating the public and helping elected officials understand the state’s rich agricultural history and diverse agricultural industries.
Formed in 2003, the Foundation is guided by a board of directors in concert with the Ag Institute of Florida, a non-profit corporation made up of professional communicators from associations, businesses and institutions that are engaged in or support Florida’s agricultural community.
Most recently, the Foundation has worked in partnership with the office of Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Adam Putnam to launch a series of educational farm tours. Beginning in 2014, the Foundation has organized tours for staff liaisons serving in the offices of Florida’s congressional delegation. From peanuts to sugar cane, aquaculture operations to dairy farms, participants visit an array of operations throughout the state, engaging in programming that provides an in-depth view of the issues facing our industry and the multimillion-dollar state, regional and local economic impact of agriculture.
